Šliapanie nohami v žule
Hrozno zo starých viníc sa šliape nohami v žulových lagares, otvorených kamenných kadiach. Je to najpomalší spôsob, ako z hrozna dostať farbu a triesloviny, a pri ročníkových portských sa drží dodnes.
Šesť mesiacov v dreve, potom nerez
Po fermentácii víno zreje pol roka v dreve a zvyšok času v nereze, takže drevo mu nestihne prekryť ovocie. Vo fľaši sa bude vyvíjať ešte desaťročia a časom vytvorí usadeninu, preto ho pred podávaním opatrne prelejte do karafy.

While this winery might be one of the newest additions to the port wine lodges of Vila Nova de Gaia, the Vasques de Carvalho family history has strong roots intertwined with the history of the Douro.
In 1880, by decision of José Vasques de Carvalho given the exceptional quality of the harvest, almost all of the production was not sold that year. This wine has been aged and carefully stored in family warehouses up to the present day.
Vasques de Carvalho winery produces a variety of great port wines like LBV and Vintage Port, but the real treasure are the old Tawny Ports. In the category of Tawnies with an indication of age they are just outstanding.
