Dvadsaťročné biele portské zreje v balseiros, veľkých drevených kadiach, do ktorých sa zmestia tri tisícky litrov. Roky pomalého prístupu vzduchu mu dali zlatú farbu, hustotu a zložitosť, ktorú mladé biele portské nemá.

On the nose, it shows immediately all of its seduction with honey notes, some dried fruits and some spices.
Taste
On the palate it´s powerful, very unctuous and elegant. Some vanilla, good quality wood and liquorice, are sustained by a firm acidity and a good structure. Long and sweet finish.

It can be enjoyed neat even though it pairs perfectly with different sorts of desserts or fruits.

While this winery might be one of the newest additions to the port wine lodges of Vila Nova de Gaia, the Vasques de Carvalho family history has strong roots intertwined with the history of the Douro.
In 1880, by decision of José Vasques de Carvalho given the exceptional quality of the harvest, almost all of the production was not sold that year. This wine has been aged and carefully stored in family warehouses up to the present day.
Vasques de Carvalho winery produces a variety of great port wines like LBV and Vintage Port, but the real treasure are the old Tawny Ports. In the category of Tawnies with an indication of age they are just outstanding.
