Vinha da Foz rastie na strmých terasách s bridlicovou pôdou nad riekou v Doure. Hrozno fermentuje v otvorených kadiach s riadenou teplotou, takže víno si drží sviežosť červeného ovocia.
Jemný dotyk dreva
Zrenie v dreve pridalo len ľahký korenistý tón, ktorý ovocie neprekrýva, ale dáva mu hĺbku a dlhší záver. Za vínom stojí vinár Filipe Ferreira.

On the nose this wine presents fresh red fruit, with alight touch of spice from maturation in oak, lending complexity and persistence.
Taste
The palate displays silky, well integrated tannins complimented with a good level of acidity which keeps the finish nice and long. A similar fruit profile is carried over to the mouth, notes of crushed raspberry and cranberry contribute to the lively, youthful nature of this wine.

In the heart of the Douro region, where the Pinhão and Douro rivers meet, the Quinta da Foz winery is located in the Cima-Corgo sub-region. The winery was founded in 1876 and is one of the oldest and most emblematic producers in the Douro region.
The Quinta's vineyards grow on steep terraces along the banks of the Douro River at an altitude of 120-250 m above sea level. Low rainfall, wide temperature ranges and slate soils with a granite content make for complex, fresh and elegant wines of remarkable quality.
Currently Quinta da Foz is dedicated to the production of table wines of excellence, having resumed the production of port wine in 2012.
