Quinta da Foz Tawny 150 Years Edition
Popis
Drevené tonely a balseiros
Dozrieva v tonelách a v balseiros, veľkých drevených kadiach, do ktorých sa zmestia aj tisíce litrov. Hĺbku a štruktúru má na dlhé roky dopredu: otvoriť ho môžete pokojne dnes, a kto ho v pivnici nechá ležať, dostane o niekoľko rokov iné víno.

Color
The color is visually more Ruby, with young reddish tones, but with a mix of more evolved brown tones.
Aroma
The nose is striking for its intensity and richness of aromas. Vinous, with young and ripe black fruit, notes of dry dark chocolate. Very ripe red fruit and some floral notes. Sweet black and wild fruit. One smells the terroir of very old vineyards in a young wine.
Taste
The palate reaffirms the complexity promised by the nose. It's broad, distinct, and full, demonstrating a strong balance between sweetness, strength, and tannins, with a smooth, long, fresh, and harmonious finish. It finishes long and concentrated. This Port is one of discovery and challenge: powerful tannins ensure intensity, the sweet flavor enhanced by lively acidity, depth, and structure to ensure long-term aging. A challenging wine with very young characteristics, entering the range of a very strong and new Tawny, very special.

Quinta da Foz
In the heart of the Douro region, where the Pinhão and Douro rivers meet, the Quinta da Foz winery is located in the Cima-Corgo sub-region. The winery was founded in 1876 and is one of the oldest and most emblematic producers in the Douro region.
The Quinta's vineyards grow on steep terraces along the banks of the Douro River at an altitude of 120-250 m above sea level. Low rainfall, wide temperature ranges and slate soils with a granite content make for complex, fresh and elegant wines of remarkable quality.
Currently Quinta da Foz is dedicated to the production of table wines of excellence, having resumed the production of port wine in 2012.
