Keď chcete porovnávať, otvorte obe polovičky vedľa seba po večeri. Jedna ku crème brûlée, druhá k sušeným figám s orechmi.
Colheita 2006 je víno z jediného ročníka, ktoré vinárstvo rozdelilo na dve časti a nechalo ich zrieť oddelene. Hrozno pochádza zo starých viníc v Ervedosa do Douro v podoblasti Cima-Corgo a v Numão v podoblasti Douro Superior.
Dve nádoby, dve tváre
Prvá časť zrela v barrice, malom sude s objemom 550 litrov, kde je pomer dreva k vínu vysoký a víno naberá korenie a vanilku. Druhá ležala v balseire, veľkej drevenej kadi s objemom 15 000 litrov, kde ide všetko pomalšie a ovocie sa posúva k sušeným figám a orechom.
Obe verzie v jednom balení
V balení sú obe verzie, takže si ich môžete naliať vedľa seba a porovnať, čo s tým istým vínom urobí veľkosť nádoby. Colheita musí v dreve zrieť najmenej sedem rokov a plní sa podľa potreby, takže v sude môže stráviť aj oveľa dlhšie; rok fľašovania nájdete na etikete. Piť sa dá hneď, čakať na nič netreba.

Podávanie
The Colheita aged in small barrel goes specially well with crème brûlée or salted caramel cheesecake, while the other, aged in a large barrel, goes well with dried figs with walnuts.

Poças
Poças is a family company producing Port and Douro DOC wines. It is proudly run by the family of the same name who founded the company more than a century ago. It's also one of the few fully Portuguese Port companies that has belonged to the same family since it was born in 1918.
While the head office is located in Vila Nova de Gaia (Porto), the grapes are coming from the Douro Demarcated Region where Poças’ 3 Estates are - Quinta das Quartas, Quinta de Santa Bárbara and Quinta de Vale de Cavalos. The Old Tawny Ports have built Poças’ reputation, but DOC Douro wines have been proving their own quality over the last 30 years.
