Popis
Štyridsaťročné tawny vzniká zmiešaním starých tawny portských, ktoré zreli v sudoch s objemom okolo 550 litrov. Štyridsiatka na etikete nie je vek vína, ale chuťový cieľ: vinár skladá zmes z ročníkov rôzneho veku dovtedy, kým nechutí ako štyridsaťročné portské.
Hrozno z troch obcí v Doure
Hrozno pochádza z Tabuaça a z Ervedosy do Douro v podoblasti Cima-Corgo a z Numão v podoblasti Douro Superior. Mušt dlho leží na šupkách a kvasenie zastaví vínny destilát, čím vínu ostane zvyškový cukor. Sudy sú vyzreté a chuťovo neutrálne, ich úlohou je už len pomalý prístup vzduchu.
Polovičná fľaša
Víno je pripravené na pitie hneď po fľašovaní, takže sa nemusí odkladať. Menšie balenie dopijete aj vo dvojici počas jedného večera a fľaša nezostane otvorená týždne.

Poças
Poças is a family company producing Port and Douro DOC wines. It is proudly run by the family of the same name who founded the company more than a century ago. It's also one of the few fully Portuguese Port companies that has belonged to the same family since it was born in 1918.
While the head office is located in Vila Nova de Gaia (Porto), the grapes are coming from the Douro Demarcated Region where Poças’ 3 Estates are - Quinta das Quartas, Quinta de Santa Bárbara and Quinta de Vale de Cavalos. The Old Tawny Ports have built Poças’ reputation, but DOC Douro wines have been proving their own quality over the last 30 years.
