Tabuaço, Ervedosa do Douro a Numão: hrozno pre toto tawny prichádza z troch lokalít, dvoch v podoblasti Cima-Corgo a jednej v podoblasti Douro Superior. Strapce sa vyberajú už vo vinici a zbierajú sa ručne.
Zrenie v dubových sudoch
Mušt fermentuje na šupkách pri kontrolovanej teplote a kvasenie sa zastaví vínnym destilátom, čím vínu ostane zvyškový cukor. Potom ide na najmenej sedem rokov do dubových sudov. Sud tu neslúži na to, aby vínu pridal vlastnú chuť, ale aby k nemu pomaly púšťal vzduch: čím dlhšie víno v ňom leží, tým menej pripomína čerstvé ovocie a tým viac orechy a karamel.

Poças
Poças is a family company producing Port and Douro DOC wines. It is proudly run by the family of the same name who founded the company more than a century ago. It's also one of the few fully Portuguese Port companies that has belonged to the same family since it was born in 1918.
While the head office is located in Vila Nova de Gaia (Porto), the grapes are coming from the Douro Demarcated Region where Poças’ 3 Estates are - Quinta das Quartas, Quinta de Santa Bárbara and Quinta de Vale de Cavalos. The Old Tawny Ports have built Poças’ reputation, but DOC Douro wines have been proving their own quality over the last 30 years.
