Desaťročné tawny vzniká zmiešaním starších tawny portských, ktoré vinár skladá dovtedy, kým výsledok nesadne do profilu desaťročného vína. Desiatka teda hovorí o chuti, nie o veku.
Sudy z vyzretého dreva
Zmes zreje v dubových sudoch s objemom okolo 625 litrov. Drevo je vyzreté a chuťovo neutrálne, jeho úlohou je už len pomalý prístup vzduchu. Fermentácia beží pri kontrolovanej teplote a zastaví ju vínny destilát, čím vínu ostane zvyškový cukor.
Hrozno z troch obcí
Hrozno pochádza z viníc v Tabuaço a Ervedosa do Douro v podoblasti Cima-Corgo a z Numão v podoblasti Douro Superior. Polovičná fľaša vystačí na pár pohárov k dezertu, takže sa dá otvoriť aj vtedy, keď ste za stolom dvaja.

Poças
Poças is a family company producing Port and Douro DOC wines. It is proudly run by the family of the same name who founded the company more than a century ago. It's also one of the few fully Portuguese Port companies that has belonged to the same family since it was born in 1918.
While the head office is located in Vila Nova de Gaia (Porto), the grapes are coming from the Douro Demarcated Region where Poças’ 3 Estates are - Quinta das Quartas, Quinta de Santa Bárbara and Quinta de Vale de Cavalos. The Old Tawny Ports have built Poças’ reputation, but DOC Douro wines have been proving their own quality over the last 30 years.
