On the nose a slightly smoky/vanilla aroma from the very old seasoned pipes casks follows through with aromas of marmalade, raisins and dried apricots.
Taste
Medium-bodied on the palate, with a mellow lengthy spirit-driven finish.
Food pairing
Pair with dried or preserved fruit, almond tart or desserts based on eggs, coffee or vanilla. Alternatively, serve chilled as an aperitif.

Niepoort is an independent family winery creating Port Wines since 1842. The first property in Douro, Quinta de Nápoles, was bought in 1987. In the last years Niepoort took on the great challenge of interpreting other soils and climates and acquired two properties in other regions - Dão and Bairrada.
