Touriga Nacional a Syrah pochádzajú z vybraných parciel dvoch rodinných usadlostí Messias, jednej v Doure a druhej v Bairrade. Hrozno sa oberá ručne a prebiera sa bobuľa po bobuli.
Kvasenie bez chladenia
Mušt fermentuje v malých lagares, plytkých otvorených kadiach, s prirodzenými kvasinkami, teda tými, ktoré prišli do pivnice priamo na hrozne. Teplota sa počas kvasenia nijako neriadi.
Osemnásť mesiacov v dreve, potom fľaša
Po kvasení víno osemnásť mesiacov zreje v sudoch z francúzskeho duba a od mája 2019 dozrieva vo fľaši. Tie roky v tichu mu dali čas, aby sa jeho stavba usadila skôr, než sa fľaša dostane na stôl.

Aroma
Right away the wine starts revealing its beautiful youth. However, its complexity starts to emerge through notes of spices and very fine black fruit.
Taste
Taste with enormous structure and powerful tannins, giving it a long and very pleasant finish.

Messias is based at Mealhada, a small city in central Portugal, in the heart of Bairrada region. The company was founded in 1926 by Mr. Messias Baptista, and the management is still held by the descendants of the Messias family.
Since its foundation this wine house has been producing and selling high quality wines from the main demarcated regions: Bairrada, Douro, Dão, Vinho Verde, Beiras and Vinho do Porto. Messias has a lot of first-class port wines on offer. The first Colheita dates from 1947, the first Vintage from 1960. The company is also known for the high quality of its Champagne method sparkling wines and aged brandies.
