Víno potom zreje v tradičných sudoch s objemom okolo 600 litrov, ktorým sa v Doure hovorí pipas. Dvadsiatka je pritom cieľ, nie vek: vinár skladá zmes z ročníkov rôzneho veku tak, aby chutila ako dvadsaťročné tawny.

Taste
The palate is soft and harmonious, with a fine width which develops in an equally complex fashion. Fresh, flavoursome and well-balanced, it progresses to a long, rich and well-defined finish.
Podávanie
Ready for drinking now, and will combine nicely as an aperitif with goat’s cheese on French toast. It would also make a rich combination with calf sweetbreads or a chicken tagine with preserved lemons. For dessert, it provides the perfect accompaniment to a hazelnut chocolate cake or cream coffee cake.

Quinta da Côrte
The Quinta da Corte is an exclusive small winery that produces very high quality port wines in small quantities.
The vineyards are located in Cima Corgo, covering 24 hectares in the center of the Douro Valley. Their plots, planted mainly on leveled terraces, contain a fine variety of old vines. As a high mountain wine-growing region, the central location in the valley ensures a relatively balanced climate.
Today, Quinta da Corte produces Late Bottled Vintage (LBV), Vintage Port wines and Tawnys, all of which are of excellent quality and impress with their fine and complex taste.
