This brand is part of Lima Smith, a young winery project with great ambition. In 2011, entrepreneur Marcelo Lima and foreign correspondent Tony Smith took over the Quinta de Covela winery. Later, in 2013, the Quinta das Tecedeiras brand was taken over.

Tormes is their youngest project, a tribute to the Portuguese writer Eça de Queiroz. In a partnership with the Eça de Queiroz Foundation, this winery created a modern and elegant interpretation of classic Vinho Verde, prepared with great skill.
