Established in 1913 by Manoel de Almeida, Barros Porto is nowadays famous and appreciated all over the world. Most of its success comes from the Old Tawnies from a single year – Colheita Ports – high quality wines matured in cask or oak vats. Since June 2006, Porto Barros is a part of a renowned company Sogvenius Fine Wines.

The grapes for Barros Porto come from the Quinta de S.Luíz vineyards, located in the Douro. In addition to Port wines, Barros has recently also been active as a producer of DOC Douro wines, made from typical Portuguese grape varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Tinta Barocca, Arinto and Gouveio. These wines are fresh and soft and full of harmonious elegance.
