Descended from the fiery ruby Port Wines originally shipped by George Sandeman in 1790, Sandeman Porto Fine Ruby is still made traditionally to be rich and robust yet with a special depth of flavor and the finesse, achieved by expertly blending wines from Sandeman's large and varied stock.

Prvá fľaša, ak portské ešte nepoznáte
Na úvod: mladé ovocné portské, mierne vychladené k ovocnému koláču alebo ku krémovému syru.
Ruby portské z Doura vzniká z ručne zbieraného hrozna, ktoré sa odstopkuje. Mušt potom fermentuje pri kontrolovanej teplote a krátko leží na šupkách, z ktorých naberá farbu.
Od Doura do pivníc v Gaii
Víno zostáva po zbere v Doure až do jari a potom putuje do Vila Nova de Gaia, kde zreje v dubových sudoch v pivniciach, ktoré Sandeman používa už stáročia. Enologický tím ho priebežne ochutnáva a skladá z neho finálnu zmes tak, aby si značka udržala rovnaký štýl. Do zmesi idú vína staré dva až päť rokov, priemerne teda tri roky, čo dáva mladistvé a ovocné portské.
